The Ambassador

The Ambassador is committed to creating a new category of neighbourhood café that maintains the classic values of warmth and affordability, whilst delivering superior food, wine and service.

The menus are appropriate for the time of day and the seasons, so at breakfast expect items such as hot waffles with sweet cured bacon, at lunch there are light one plate options as well as a 2 course set lunch. At dinner there are more crafted dishes from carefully sourced ingredients.

The 100 bin wine list explores Europe in depth, focusing on its lesser-known regions and grape varieties, there are also some quirky selections from the New World. At least 20 are always available by the glass or in 50cl carafes.
The room pays homage to the utilitarian style of the 1940?s with a long, dark wood bar, red leather banquettes and formica topped tables. When the sun shines there are 20 seats at outside tables, an excellent spot for people watching on vibrant Exmouth Market.
